Pet’s stash

So the new house is presently divided into two sections.  The front part, or main part of the house was last renovated in the 70S and, with the exception of the main floor bathroom, completely livable. Then there is the addition, which has never been renovated, and is in disrepair. Luckily, it is possible to completely shut off the addition until we are ready to work on it.

The fun part,  Nate’s Great grandmother’s sewing/ craft room is back in the addition. I have found lots of fun stuff there. My antique button collection, some sewing odds and ends, a few bone and steel crochet hooks.  There are even rumors that Pet (the nickname her grandchildren gave her) knitted a little.

On a previous trip back there, I found a pair of bone knitting needles.  I knew there had to be more.

Introducing Pet’s stash. Her old knitting caddy, lots of cotton yarn, some steel dpns, and some pattern books.  There are also some quilt squares, crochet, and embroidery stuff there too.

Pet’s knitting WIP. It looks like a start of an afghan. The rest of the yarn was not found.  I will never complain about not having a long enough circular needle again. Pet worked this afghan using three pairs of #8 straights.

Jess and I are taking Kitty to the vet today to see what needs to be done with her other ear.  I hoping to locate a few more boxes while we’re out too.  Stay cool.

How great is that!!!! Maybe it IS a good thing that some things have stayed there in the house! Imagine, an afghan on a few pairs of straights!

We sure are spoiled knitters. Not that any of us would admit it! 🙂
Nice work on the MS3. I’m only 1/2 done with the 1st clue. Slowpokes unite!

Seriously that house is a GOLD MINE!!!
And yeah I’m in need of some serious help because after I exclaimed about the WIP, I exclaimed about the floor beneath it.
I second the thought of trying liquor stores for boxes, that’s literally how we moved to IN from OH (our teatotalling new neighbors, the Bailey’s, were NOT amused).
    How’s Kitty?
