I was inspired by our trip to Spring Mill Inn's Pioneer Village, to cast on a project from my queue.
Pattern: Bosom Friend, found in the March/April issue of Piecework.
yarn: Reynolds, Whiskey, in color 054 (brown). 2 skeins. frog tree alpaca sport in creme and lime green. 1 skein each.
Notes: I did not use the I-cord suggested in the pattern. I instead mad the "wings" fasten to each side of the back instead of to each other.
I'm growing very concerned that I might be raising a future dictator. Jess decided to honor the 4th of July weekend, by writing her own constitution to her own "village". She would be "mayor", and would make all decisions involving said village. She has been coaxed into allowing elections. Then yesterday she came to me and proclaimed that she put one of her pretend friends to sleep, because he was "causing problems". So, you understand my concern.
In other knitting news, I have almost finished Nate's socks and hope to convince him to model them for a photo. I'm also attempted to knit two socks at the same time, one inside the other. I have always wanted to try it, and so far so good.
oh my.
Jess is such a character!
ahahaha
i got a good laugh on that one
You aren’t raising a future dictator… you’re raising another Cory.
Wait, that might be the same thing (or at least just as frightening).
Perhaps it’s just a phase? *she asks hopefully*
I want to try that sock knitting trick too…Someday.lol.
Good luck with the dictator.
I love the colors that you used in the Bosom Friend. It looks wonderful! 🙂
