Day 28

So it’s a mad dash around here to finish 4-H projects. Mostly me getting mad because they aren’t done. If it requires more than a few moments of effort, Jess pushes it off until later. She is running out of laters.

This week we went to McCormick’s Creek State Park with Nate’s side of the family.

Homemade cupcakes with the best frosting ever. See, the trick is, for every cup of whipping cream, add 1 T of instant pudding. You’ll be amazed! You’ll be delighted! Especially if you are, like me, not a fan of frosting.

We celebrated my MIL’s birthday, and we had an early celebration for James. (His birthday is actually this weekend.)

He’s still not sure how to work this thing, but he thinks it’s really cool. Especially since he gets to wear his dragon helmet.

The next week should bring COMPLETED 4-H projects, a birthday party, a house guest, and packing for another trip.
